Just like any other girl I wanted to look flawless in my dress, so the day before the event I decided to buy some hold in underwear.... except I don't really know what it's supposed to look like and long story short - I ended up buying an exercise belt instead.
The exercise belt had a thick texture and the magical ability of making its own giant bulks all the way around my back to my front looking like I had bellyfat all the way through my back.
But I did not know this because I didn't look in the mirror.... until the day was over and we had filming and been taking photos from every angle.
So what did I learn from this? Stick to the same underwear all your life. Well not literally the same underwear but at least the same genre. You may think that you can handle the kind of underwear that grown ups use - you're wrong.
-Leave it to the grown ups
But anyways the motto of my life is "Dont let anything or anyone ruin your happiness" There is a crazy hysteria in todays society for being "perfect", whatever perfect is at that particular time and place. Especially it is like this for women, and I cant think of any day when this hysteria builds up more than before a womans wedding day. I think its messed up that a little extra body fat, a pimple or crooked teeth should take away the greatest and most life-altering thing of all: happiness.
Maybe the mistake with the exercise belt was there to teach me to embrace myself just as I am?
As a child I was blessed with an idol of a woman; my teacher. She truly embraced her own quirks and everything that made her unique and she left a mark on my life to the point that when my mum got me braces I bit them off because I wanted to have crooked teeth just like my teacher had. To this very day I have crooked teeth because of my childhood idol, and that is a story that makes me who I am.
Dont ever let anyone take your ideas of what is really important in life, and replace them with the fleeting interest in one materialistic thing after the other.
Live happy <3
